Neko girls - we love them, their adorable fluffy tails and ears give me additional ten years to my lifespan. I do love them, but why is it that I feel that the Neko boys are not given enough love as well? :< The Neko boys have their own charm as well and the Neko Boy characters in different anime shows tell us so, so why is it that I don’t see enough of them?
But hooray, hooray for the Neko Boy lovers out there as this will be your favorite day as you will be introduced to our top ten Neko Boy characters in anime! As they are surprisingly rare in real anime shows, there are still some characters that stand out of the rest. We will be indicating where you will find them, who they are, and why we love them!
Tsukiyomi Ikuto
from the anime Shugo Chara!
Probably the most famous Neko Boy in the anime community, Tsukiyomi Ikuto captured the hearts of many fangirls of the anime Shugo Chara! that first aired last 2008. Just like your normal Neko Boy, Ikuto is cunning and well, very aloof. Ikuto is probably the reason why aloof and good-looking characters started to rise due to Ikuto’s popularity back in the times. Ikuto is known for his dark blue hair, thin stature, black uniform and captivating blue eyes. If you were a fan of Shugo Chara when you were younger, chances are, you were a fan of Ikuto as well, DON'T LIE!
Sohma Kyo
from Fruits Basket
Born with the curse of the Cat Zodiac, Kyo has always dealt with difficult scenarios ever since as a kid. He grew up to be very pessimistic not only towards himself and others, but also towards the life that he is living in. And as the one born with the curse of the Cat zodiac, whenever he is hugged by someone of the opposite sex, he transforms into a cat unwillingly.
The reason why Kyo is on this list is simply because of his adorable awkward personality that is masked underneath his “bad attitude”. Whenever his love interest, Honda Toru, goes to him whenever she wants to, Kyo would always end up being a blushing mess every time, and we love seeing him do that! This orange neko boy is a baby - every time his neko mimi suddenly pops out whenever he is scared or surprised, it’s just way too adorable.
Tomoe
from Kamisama Hajimemashita/ Kamisama Kiss
Tomoe is known for his beautiful white hair and his long, beautiful nekomimis by the fans. He also wears a white yukata with a somber-coloured haori in dark blue.
Tomoe is a fox yokai, presently serving as the familiar of Nanami Momozono. Fans also love his endearing looks that can kill at one look! While being a fox yokai, he’s an extreme flirt. Knowing that he has the looks that kill, he actually uses this to his advantage which makes him a bit cunning and sly when it comes to approaching others.
In the first episode, it was revealed that Tomoe has been abandoned by his former master, Mikage, and left to care for the land god's crumbling shrine alone for the last twenty years. Now, he is now serving a new master, Nanami Momozon as her familiar.
Felix
from Re:Zero
“SUBARU-KYUN!” screams Felix as he calls for Subaru.
Yes, he.
And as this list is for Neko Boys, of course Felix is recognized as a male. Even he says that he is a male, although the audiences would say otherwise. This is due to the fact that Felix, or Ferris-chan, would dress up with cute and adorable dresses filled with frills and ribbons. We also first saw Ferris-chan with him wearing a blue dress with ribbons as well. Subaru, the main protagonist of the story, is seen to be so baffled and embarrassed whenever he sees Felix due to the fact that seeing Felix makes him question the emotions and feelings that he is seeing. I mean, I don’t blame him for Felix is just too adorable, right? His feminine features makes him so cute that you can’t help but love him. As to why Felix would wear girl clothing, well, that’s just his preference. He just seems to enjoy wearing girl clothes.
But don’t underestimate Ferris-chan, as he is actually Crusch’s Knight. He also has Demi-Human blood as signififed by the existence of his neko tail and neko mimi.
Hiroshi Inaba

Hiroshi is known for his beautiful dark, red, spiky hair. He has a large strand of hair in the middle, with two locks of hair falling at the sides of his head, framing his face. The rest of his hair is loose. You can’t also forget his notable fluffy neok mimis that rise on the top of his head. He is a product of the genetically altered spliced genes of a human and a wolf, thus why he possesses the qualities of a Neko Boy (and thus why he is on our list!). Aside from his appearances, he is actually a private detective and he gains information and evidence from his cases by examining and tasting people’s hair, and yes, because of such abilities, he has developed a hair fetish.
Hiroshi is a frivolous person, very extraverted in his emotions, which often leads to comical situations. He is however very hard to deal with, because it is difficult to negotiate and do business with him. The only person to remotely keep Hiroshi under control, is his former police partner, Ogino.
Shu☆Zo

Shu☆Zo is a member of Trichronika and the band's vocalist and guitarist, using his beloved guitar, “gold mechanical clock”.
Being the No.1 talent of the big idol label 'Judas', with his sweet voice and the appearance like that of a galactic prince, he captures the fans’ hearts and doesn’t let go. Despite all of this, he dislikes it when he is asked about his past.
Shu☆Zo is flamboyant in appearance, with short yellow hair curled upwards on the sides. Shu☆Zo is a pale brown creature with pale tan muzzle, paws, tail, and inner-ear. He has a brown nose and cyan eyes with feminine lashes. He has short, slightly curled yellow hair streaked with green, sky-blue, orange, and pink to match his tail. Shu☆Zo wears a blue and white jacket over white pants and blue point-toe boots. Around his neck is a pair of pink, white, and yellow headphones.
Kai & Riku

For our top 8 and 9, we have Riku and Kai from the anime Show by Rock! (because why not?).
Riku and Kai are twins that are part of the band Trichonika together with their vocalist, Shu☆Zo.
Both twins are myuumons of unspecified species with pink noses. Riku has teal eyes and midnight blue hair while Kai has dark indigo to match his blue, spiked messy hair and tail. Riku’s hair is longer than his brother, Kai. Both twins have the same admiration for their vocalis, Shu Zo and adores to be like him some day. And being in the same band as him, they also have their own roles where Riku is in-charge with the bass, being the bassist, and Kai with the drums, being the drummer of the group.
Loke
We were introduced to Loke as a womanizer from the guild, Fairy Tail. He has brown-orange, spiky hair and glasses. He also has the cool guy attitude and is always seen to have a hoard of girls around him.
Later in the series, he was revealed to be the Celestial Spirit Leader of the 12 Golden Zodiac Keys. Loke represents the Golden Zodiac key of Leo the Lion, thus why he is included in our list of our top Neko Boys! Being Leo the Lion, it is apparent in his hair structure (and possibly, neko mimis too, but that was never clarified!) that has the form of a neko mimi that Neko Boys have! He later became Lucy's Celestial Spirit after he was successfully brought back to the Celestial Spirit World thanks to Lucy's help.
And just like the rest of the Neko Boys, Loke also has this charming personality that attracts a lot of female fans of Fairy Tail. Were you charmed by Loke, too? Because I certainly was!
While in his human form, his hair is kept in a mildly short, spiky cut, with spiky strands covering his forehead, and other, longer ones jutting upwards from the top of his head.As a Celestial Spirit, his hair is much longer, and kept in many more, comparatively larger spikes jutting in every direction, with a pair framing Loke's face; due to another pair of strands sitting on top of his head, being vaguely reminiscent of animal ears, the rest of his hair mirrors a lion’s mane.
