As Ash Ketchum’s first ever Pokemon companion into becoming a successful Pokemon Master, Pikachu is known and loved by people across the globe, even if they not fans of the anime, the Pokemon series, themselves. Pikachu is known for its yellow color, and its electrical abilities. Pikachu is most often associated with a mouse due to what the Pokedex describes Pikachu as, and its true that Pikachu almost has that of characteristics of a mouse, too! But, it turns out, according to Kotaku, that Pikachu’s main characteristics from the earlier versions of the game are actually taken from a squirrel!
Totoro (from My Neighbor Totoro)
Totoro is loved by everyone due to its kawaii characteristics. Hailing from one of Miyazaki’s movies from Studio Ghibli, My Neighbor Totoro, Totoro never really talked in the whole movie. Its known characteristics are that of his gray fur, and big stature. He is also kind as he is shown to constantly help our main protagonists anyway that he can. Everybody would wish they want their own giant, friendly neighbor, Totoro!
Tony Tony Chopper (from One Piece)
Chopper may not look like it, but he is actually a doctor! Chopper is a doctor for the Straw Hat Pirates, a pirate crew that is led by its anime protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy. Chopper has reindeer-like characteristics and is easily distinguishable among the Straw Hat Crew. He wears a huge hat that is known as his distinguishable feature, and he is mostly likened to that of a child. One may also think that Chopper might actually just be a kid because of his ever-growing curiosity over little things, like that of a child.
Sadaharu (from Gintama)
Sadaharu is the pet dog of the Yorozuya Gin-chan, a business established by the protagonist, Sakata Gintoki, that takes any types of jobs that they are given for a price. Tetsuya #2, or just simply #2, is the pet dog of its owner, Kuroko Tetsuya, from the anime The Basketball that Kuroko plays. Tetsuya found Tetsuya #2 from the streets one day and he decided to keep him as a pet. The reason as to why Tetsuya #2 got its name is due to the rest of the Seirin Basketball team members saying that its looks exactly like Tetsuya! Often, this cute puppy is seen wearing the Number 16 Seirin uniform, and just like Tetsuya himself, he also bears a pair of blue eyes.
Berubo/Beel-chan (from Beelzebub)
Most of the characters in the anime often call this baby as Baby Berubo or Beel-chan, but his full name is actually Kaiser de Emperana Beelzebub IV. Don’t be fooled by his adorable and innocent appearance though! This baby with full grown green hair on his head and a yellow pacifier on its mouth, is actually the son of a demon lord (just in case the name didn’t give that off) tasked to take over the whole world! It is now the task of his adoptive father and main protagonist of the story, Oga Tatsumi, to train Beel into becoming a demon lord capable of doing so. Whether or not Beel transforms to be the demon lord that its biological father want him to be, well, it’s for Tatsumi to decide.
Kashima Koutarou (from School Babysitters)
Koutarou is the baby brother of the story’s protagonist, Kashima Ryuuichi. Lost their parents suddenly to a plane crash accident, both Ryuuichi and Koutarou are adopted by the chairwoman of the Morinomiya Academy in exchange for Ryuuichi becoming a babysitter in the school. Koutarou, unlike his infant peers, is very timid and silent. Koutarou has light green hair and he often wears this cute, sleepy expression on his face that adds to his adorable upbringing.Kerberos/Kero-chan (from Cardcaptor Sakura)
Guardian of the clow cards also known as the Beast of the Seal of the book that stores all the clow cards that were created by the sorcerer, Clow Reeds. Kerberos, or just Kero-chan as how Sakura calls him, were introduced to us as this teddy bear-like creature with white wings in the form of the clow wings. He is responsible for making Sakura the Cardcaptor that she is now, in order to help him gather all the lost clow cards before they could reck havoc in the days to come.
Lambo (from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!)
Lambo, the nice bomber-head calf, or so he calls himself, is a hitman just like Reborn. He went to Japan with the intention of killing Reborn, challenging him countless times, only for his attacks to backfire on him. In fact, Reborn could care less about him and would just often leave him be. Lambo’s appearance is that of a 5-year old child, with a getup that is close to that of a cow, and yes that means he has horns, too. Unlike Reborn, Lambo is really childish and is often spoiled and others are easily annoyed of him. As a hitman, he does have powers and is known to possess electric-like abilities. (And oh, he’s a big crybaby, too.)
Platelets (from Cells At Work)
Literally, these cute little girls that you see right now are called the Platelets in the anime, Cells at Work. And just like what the title implies, the whole anime is about the cells, doing their work (lol). In this case though, the cells are in the form of human beings, and just like our little platelet here, they also come in human form! The Platelets are often seen in as children running around often in groups. They wear an oversized blue t-shirt, light brown shorts, paired with a pair of black boots, and topping on the head with a white cap that signifies they’re the platelets.
Nel (from Bleach)
Neliel Tu Odelschwanck, or simply known as Nel, is a child discovered by Ichigo and his gang during their invasion in Hueco Mundo. Nel, who has blue-green hair, big light-green shirt that covers her whole stature, and a broken skull on her head, is actually a former Espada. Though it may not seem like she is, Nel possess the powers worthy of an Espada number 5. Not only is baby Nel cute, she also is quite fond and possessive of Ichigo ever since they met. While Nel is really mischievous and gets really upset when Ichigo doesn’t play with her, she makes sure that Ichigo doesn’t get hurt and heals his wounds during their journey in Hueco Mundo, even though that means pouring saliva all over him.
Shiro (from No Game No Life)
The other half of the urban legend 『 』(Blank), Shiro is known for her kawaii features: her colorful eyes, her long, beautiful, white hair, her little crown that she wears on her head, a whole marvelous kawaii package. Even her very own brother is bedazzled with her beauty that he praises her with every chance he can. Aside from her kawaii characteristics, Shiro is an extremely important half of 『 』. She was able to defeat a a god, Tet, in a game of chess. When it comes to tactical and rational games, her brother Sora, gives Shiro whole authority to practice what she thinks is right in order to win their games. After all, the 『 』never lose, not even once.
Kamui Kanna
Diamond-like eyes, sliver hair, and horns that signify her as a dragon, while Kanna looks like a child, she is actually around 700 years old (and yes, she’s a dragon). Her mannerisms, however, are very child-like: talks like a child, and acts like a child. Maybe these qualities are what makes her adorable from the eyes of the viewers. Don’t be fooled by her softspokeness though! Kanna loves pranks the most, and loves being mischievous at all times.
Okazaki Ushio (from Clannad ~After Story~)
Ushio is the daughter of Tomoya and Nagisa from Clannad. And as her daughter, Ushio looks alot alike like her mother, Nagisa. She has this same light brown hair, though short, tied with a large, white ribbon, and big, brown eyes. She is also soft spoken just like Nagisa. Every scene with Ushio will make your heart flutter. She’s very innocent yet there are things that she does that you won’t get sometimes - unpredictable, as what her teacher would say.
Doma Umaru (from Himouto! Umaru-chan)
Umaru is the perfect school girl in everyone’s eyes. She excels in school, she has the proper manners, basically, she excels in everything that she does - but what everyone doesn’t know is that these are all just a front! In all actuality, Umaru is actually a NEET-wannabe who wants to laze around and play video games all day. She is even able to transform herself into a child whenever she wants to when she’s at home (on how she’s able to do this, I don’t know either).
